Originating as a sample during Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago in fall 2019, this clean colorway received an official retail release in summer 2020 to much fanfare. The signature “quote” aesthetic of Abloh’s Jordan Brand collaborations underpins this Sail-colored shoe, including printed “Air” branding on the midsole and black-lettered “lace” details on the laces. Translucent details including the heel counter, Wings clips on the collar, and webbing on the midsole and throat are new to the Jordan 4. The visible Air window on the heel is surrounded by a white midsole.
